The boy beside me in my English lecture yesterday wrote “Dillan Thomas.” When I relayed this humorous anecdote to a friend later in the day, it reminded me of the scene in ‘Lost in Translation’ when Scarlett Johansson’s husband tells her to stop being a smart ass when she laughs at a girl using Evelyn Waugh as a psuedo name.
